Today we announce the launch of our 2016 campaign, ‘We’re Wearin’ the World.’ Synonymous with the company’s signature line, our We’re Wearin' the World Collection, the campaign will allow individuals to express and share how they experience the world.
Our B-Corporation partners challenged us with this question. The answer resulted in our 2016 collection, available in our brand new Lookbook.

It's 2016 and I'm undertaking my biggest challenge yet as part of my 50th Birthday Celebration and a tribute to We're Wearin' the World with Dhana. In the next 10 months I will be biking 1000 miles as I travel Northern California, France, India, Singapore and many other cities. Whilst I travel I will be sharing my stories of travel, insights and experiences along this journey as well as how we are connected to people and planet.
As the holiday season approaches and we become more aware of all that we have to be thankful for, that gratitude inspires generosity in many of us. This season, we hope you’ll consider putting that generosity toward an organization that reinforces our global connections to people and planet: Climate Ride.
At Dhana, we have openly discussed the dangers of current fashion production trends, advocated for a revolution of the fashion industry, and exposed the harm of fast fashion practices. So we are thrilled to highlight Mysource, a new, sustainable fashion resource for businesses made available by our partners at the Ethical Fashion Forum. Mysource is an online B2B platform that matches fashion professionals with the connections and resources they need to grow successful and sustainable businesses. Mysource provides companies with the business resources and a network of dedicated fashion professionals they need to sustainably grow their fashion enterprises.
Dhana is proud to announce that we are now a sponsor of the Brower Youth Awards. The Brower Youth Award is awarded to six outstanding youth who are making an impact in the environmental movement. As an organization, Dhana has demonstrated a commitment to reinforcing the connection between people and planet for our youth, so a partnership with an organization rewarding these young leaders for their hard work and dedication came naturally.
In light of all of the awareness surrounding fairtrade practices as a result of World Fairtrade Month last month, we want to highlight one of partners who ensure that Dhana clothing is produced in compliance with the highest fairtrade and organic standards available: Mandala Apparels.
The term fairtrade may conjure images of chocolate bars and bags of coffee, but fairtrade fashion may be the next ethical movement to sweep the globe. The heartbreaking Rana Plaza tragedy in 2013 brought to light the horrible working conditions and dangers of the fast fashion world. The global spotlight on the devastating and despicable practices that brought about the disaster provided a global platform for the growing slow fashion movement.
World Fair Trade Month is finally here and here at Dhana we are so excited the celebrate the progress and impact that fair trade has made on the global economy. In the last year alone, our partner, Fairtrade International, supported over 1,500,000 fairtrade producers and workers, and trained 14,000 new fairtrade farmers. Fairtrade as a business practice has become a more globally recognized and viable business practice; in the last year alone, fairtrade sales reached over €5.9 billion globally!
B Corporations are a new type of corporation which harnesses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Unlike conventional corporations, whose highest priority is financial gain, B corps recognize that true profitability only comes when companies also contribute to the greater well-being of people and planet.
Overall, fair trade is a worldwide system designed to protect and empower the most marginalized groups, primarily small-scale farmers and producers, who are typically the most disadvantaged by the existing trade systems. Through better prices, good working conditions and fairer trade terms for marginalized producers in developing countries, organizations like Dhana’s partnerFairtrade America continuously work to change the status quo and make trade fair. According to their website, “Fair Trade Month is a national celebration of fair trade as a concrete contribution to the global fight against poverty, climate change and economic crises.”
At the core of our business, Dhana truly believes that fashion can connect people to each other and our planet. That’s why we are actively involved in the Ethical Fashion Forum, and want to highlight the incredible work they are doing.
Dhana is proud to announce that we will be attending SOCAP15 in San Francisco, California early next month.
